Health

Your body has to last a life time! Best you look after it.......

The following pages will give you some ideas as to what help and advice is available on a range of health issues from aids to yellow fever.

Just a few technical points yeah boring but you know.

Most people living in the UK are entitled to treatment under the National Health Service (NHS) and this treatment is largely free. The exceptions to this are dental treatment, opticians and prescriptions but even here you can get some help.

Visitors to the UK are entitled to free accident and emergency treatment but may have to pay if they‘re hospitalised or need other medical care. Visitors from some countries may not have to pay as we have arrangement to deal with medical expenses.

Visitors from the EU should have form E111 or E112 to claim medical help.

To get medical attention locally you should register with the nearest doctor’s surgery. If you don’t know who your local doctor is try the www.nhs.uk website to find your local surgery.

If you're just looking for advice or service providers across the county then check with heron the local NHS advice site.
