Housing Associations (Registered Social Landlord/RSL)

There are whole host of RSLs that you could apply to for housing but some have restrictions as to who they can let to due to their charitable status or original articles of association. It could be they only operate in a certain town, only take disabled people etc. But in Norfolk there are some quite large RSLs who operate across the County and accept a whole range of tenants. For information about those operating in your area contact your local district council’s housing department. It may also be that your council will be able to nominate people to the RSL for a property so check it out.

You don’t have to apply through the council to get a house from an RSL and each one will have its own rules so you might want to check these out before filling in an application form.
