Asylum Seekers…?
Asylum seekers are not entitled to claim benefits, such as Income Support or Housing Benefit. However, an adult asylum seeker will normally receive financial help for essential living needs in the form of vouchers, which can be exchanged for cash. The National Asylum Support Service will provide these.
If you are an asylum seeker who is either pregnant, or has children who are up to 3 years of age, you may also be entitled to free milk tokens.
Who to contact:
The National Asylum Support Service (NASS) is responsible for providing financial support and accommodation to most asylum seekers.
You should contact the National Asylum Support Service in writing, and send it to the following address:
National Asylum Support Service 5th Floor Quest House 11 Cross Road Croydon CR9 8EL
