Privacy and Confidentiality
We do not use cookies for collecting information. If you choose to use any of the electronic feedback forms, your e-mail address and other personal information will be made available to the project team but will not be passed to third parties without your express prior consent. We do collect some information such as your Internet Protocol address, but this is only used to provide anonymous statistics for our own use. We make every effort to ensure that emails on our systems are confidential. However as no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, please be advised that we cannot guarantee the confidentiality of personal information transmitted to or from us.
One of the key principles of our service is that it is confidential – we will not inform your parents, teacher or anyone else about you contacting us or the nature of your enquiry. But there is one exception to this: legislation requires us to breach confidentiality if you are under 18 and we have evidence that you are in danger. However this is extremely rare, and if we do have to inform another colleague/organisation about your welfare we will always discuss it with you first.
